Who is Doobie Duck?
DoobieDuck I was born in 1954 in Ohio but quickly moved and went to school in many different states as my late father was a pilot. Flying with him too many extraordinary way off-the-grid back wood locations showered me with the inspiration to love and photograph wildlife and nature.
Throughout my lifetime I have enjoyed and engaged in many different art mediums including stained glass, water colors, chainsaw carving, wood and rock marquetry, relief antler carving, flint knapping, lapidary, jewelry making, game bird taxidermy and carving, and others. I am proficient in many software image programs, I love cannabis photography.
My wife and I for years enjoyed artifact collecting, hunting purple bottles and collectables, camping and hiking in the wilderness areas or as far as our vehicle could take us off the beaten path. Also an accomplished musician my entire adult life, I performed at clubs, bars, and events. Playing keyboards, guitar, bass, backing and lead vocals. My disabilities do not allow, or severely restrict, my doing all of these activities nowadays. They prevent me from “gigging” in bands entirely, a career I sorely miss.
I am coping with chronic pain from three major spine surgeries that all included hardware. I have been diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis, Degenerative Disc Disease, Seizure Disorder-I cannot drive, Fybromyalgia, Sleep Apnea, Chronic Fatigue, Depression, and a list of other things, along with some they haven’t found yet..LOL! These are extremely debilitating, very painful and worsening with each day with no relief or cure in sight. …ouch!
I’ve dedicated my life now to helping other patients on the internet when I can and sharing my love of cannabis and its medical properties through my photography. Thanks all for your interest in my art, Jeff
