Roof – Qube Review

When growing your own medication you want the best growing environment for your plants and in my opinion the best grow space is a grow tent!. For me, until recently, a grow tent was not a option for one main factor! My ceiling height is only 195 cm and the industry standard tent is 200 cm in height. We chose our home because it had all the room’s we needed as a family + a free basement that I could use to grow in which is a great bonus. When we moved in I knocked up a small 1.4m x 1.4m x 1.94m grow area which was only going to be there for 1-2 run maximum that was over 4 years ago. I have been looking for a tent with a big enough floor space ideally 1.2m-2.4m but only with a maximum ceiling height of 1.94m!. I have found a great company called Green-Qube who makes a tent line called the Roof-Qube which has a maximum height of 1.8m or 180cm but has the floor space I need as it comes in three sizes. rq120

  • The RQ120 120cm x 120cm x 180cm (shown on the right)
  • The RQ150 150cm x 150cm x 180cm
  • The RQ1224 120cm x 240cm x 180cm

I have gone for the RQ120 which has a floor space of 120cm x 120cm and a top height of 180cm with the angles for the roof starting at 140cm. These tents are shaped a lot different than the normal rectangle/square shape as the Roof-Qube has a top shaped like a roof with sloped sides so ideal to fit in a loft space or like me a basement. I have used a tent before and from now on all of my growing will be done in tents as I can control the environment much better and more importantly it has given me the chance to finally perpetually grow which means no more running out of meds. As I only had the 1 room before I only had one stage of growth going now with 2 Room’s I’ve got a veg tent (18/6) and a flower tent (12/12) all in a totally sealed environment, this has made a dramatic difference to our life’s we can now harvest every 8-11 weeks strain dependent with a constant flow of babies and bigger plants in the vegetative stage. We have got a 1m x 1m x 1.8m tent which in comparison to the Roof-Qube is poorly made with very thin poles and much lighter fabric. Here are a few technical detail’s about the Roof-Qube including full specs and dimension’s. The Roof-Qube comes in three sizes the RQ120 – 120cm(l) x 120cm(w) x 180cm(h), RQ150- 150cm(l) x 150cm(w) x 180cm(h) and the biggest in the range the RQ1224 – 120cm(w) x 240cm(l) x 180cm(h).

The makers of the Roof-Qube say that these are the strongest poles on the tent market and I cannot disagree compared to my 15mm poles on my old 1m2 tent the 28mm x 1.0mm poles are great makes the whole structure more sturdy and professional looking.rq-strength

All the connections are click in as opposed to just push in rq-connector and the Roof-Qube is equipped with 4 double over sized extraction ports which will take ducting up to 9inch including acoustic ducting, 3 cable sock’s and 1 intake sock so plenty of sealable port for all your light’s, fans etc and with the double sock’s that just makes things 100% light tight.rq1

The inside on the Roof-Qubes are lined with 98% diamond reflective mylar and all zip’s are military style 10 gauge. You have 2 access doors to the Roof-Qube and on the front which has a handy plastic door hook that you can just open and clip it to the plastic hook on the side on the tent giving you full access with out the door flapping open, another great feature I have found is the window on the front of the tent which lets you look at your plants with out having to open the tent. There are 2 vents’ also on the tent which can be easily opened and closed with Velcro fastening which are covered with super fine mesh. As I have been working with the RQ120 the specs i have given are for that tent for the RQ150 all the ports are the same and will take up to inch ducting but for the RQ1224 the sock size is increased to 10inch, s with 6 cable sock’s, 2 main access door’s and 2 side door’s with 2 viewing windows. One thing I did forget to mention is the RQ120 and RQ150 have 1 uplift bar and the RQ1224 has 2 these are for all you grower’s that use IWS and Auto pot systems and exclusive to the Roof-Qube and Green-Qube range of tents. This has been a long time coming for me! Finally I can grow and not worry about running out of my medication and more importantly for the very first time ever! I can perpetually grow in a controlled sealed environment that is so well built it will be my grow area for many years too come. If the RQ range are not big enough for you or you have the height room for a tent with a roof height of 200cm then the makers of the Roof-Qube also make a range called the Green-Qube tent’s with the same top craftsmanship but with tents with a floor space up to 300cm(l) x 300cm(w) x 200cm(h)they are by far the best made tents I have come across.

This is the future of growing and will keep your plants safe for many years too come in the best constructed grow room on the market you wont be disappointed and your plants will love it.
